8 year old Lucy displays her basset traits well with a swanky waddle and a delightful drool! She is well behaved on a leash, as long as you don't rush her through her walk. She likes to take in all of the scents and she always takes a moment to give a passersby a gentle hello. She is very sweet and extremely gentle. You will not feel her take a treat from your hand. She minds her manners and keeps her space away from her temperamental foster sisters. She would make an ideal companion as she is the first to meet you at the door and is completely satisfied with a few belly rubs and knowing someone is close by. She lies quietly by the table at meal time, but does not beg for a handout. However, she is tempted when food is close to her level so be careful of snacks on the coffee table! She likes to lie beside the bed, but never tries to jump up on any furniture. She has a deep seal like bark, but she only uses it to tell you she is ready to come in, to clue you in on her displeasure with you for putting her in her crate or when she is trying to tempt those evil foster sisters to play. She loves kids and is an absolutely ideal friend to have in the family!
