Isn't that the cutest face ever? Miss Nellie is just an adorable dog. She's a perfect citizen when her people clean her ears or trim her toenails, she walks like a lady on the leash, she goes to bed when asked....an ideal girl! She's perfect with adults, kids, cats, dogs....anyone and everyone is her friend. Cats love her! She rarely barks, really only when someone comes close to the door. She is potty trained and has good house manners. She is a very advanced lizard hunter and will drop into tense, slow motion when stalking them, just like her cat friends do! Dogs just don't get more adorable than Nellie! Nellie does have a medical condition where she develops multiple tumors all over her body. These tumors are multifocal basal cell carcinomas and hair matrix tumors. She recently had 13 of them removed. She is currently on an oral chemotherapy regime called Metronomic chemotherapy aimed at slowing the growth of these tumors. It is not considered a cure but a retardant. She is responding well to the chemotherapy. She has just completed her first week (started April 28, xxxx). The cost of the Cytoxan, Lasix and Piroxicam with shipping is approximately $100.00 for two months. Bloodwork needs to be done 2 weeks after starting and then monthly.
