This is not your average basset! As you can probably tell, Rocky is half bloodhound and half basset. He's the same height as the usual (large) basset, but larger in the chest. As a consequence his legs seem really short! But he's very agile and has no trouble jumping up on the sofa, or running after a ball. He loves toys, and loves to run around in the yard. One of his favorite games is tug of war. He'll put his whole body into it and he may win! He's good with his brother and sister bloodhounds and bassets, but he does have a prey instinct and wants to chase the cats he meets. He's also food aggressive with other dogs, so he has to be fed separately. Rocky is about five years old and has the sweetest disposition ever. He wags his tail and the whole body moves. He loves to administer sweet soft kisses with that big bloodhound tongue. He has a very funny bark...sort of raspy and higher toned than you'd expect for a dog of his size. Rocky is just the cutest basset ever, and he's full of energy and fun! Rocky is heartworm positive, so he will be ready for adoption at the end of February.
