FOR SALE: Lightly-used Old Town Penobscot 15' Canoe. It's only been in the water seven times (freshwater lakes and calm rivers), so it hasn't seen extreme paddling or abuse. The canoe has a few minor surface scratches from transit and outings, but nothing that in any way compromises its water worthiness.
The Penobscot is a Royalex canoe from Old Town's premier tripping/expedition line. This is a top of the line canoe and is renowned for its easy paddling and handling, light weight of 58 lbs when handling solo, as well as its ability to carry up to a 1,150 lb payload! These canoes are known for lasting 25+ years easily. There is no perfect all-around canoe, but the Old Town Penobscot is close. Royalex construction gives this canoe high impact and abrasion resistance, plus excellent structural memory and resilience. Very good for tandem use, and can be soloed with little trouble.
It has a shallow arch bottom, straight sides, and minimum rocker. It has durable weather resistant nylon web seats, nylon carrying handles, Ash thwart and yoke, and polyethylene decks with grab handles. MADE IN THE USA.
