Scarlet loves to cuddle up beside her person! She'll get on her back and stick her legs straight out so that you can pet her belly, then wiggle around comically for awhile before settling down for a nap. She has quickly learned house training, and behaves very well in the house, picking out a dog toy and quietly entertaining herself with it. She also loves fetching toys if you throw them for her. She gets along well with all other dogs she has met so far, as she is submissive and charming! She was previously cat-tested at Levy County Animal Services, and did not react. She hangs out in her crate without barking or whining, but takes her time getting into the crate, and sometimes needs a little hands-on assistance. She takes cues about behavior from other dogs: while her foster mother was dog-sitting for a dog that loves getting in his crate, she watched him and then initiated getting in her own crate by herself. She has beautiful amber eyes and subtle red-on-red brindling. She is small in stature, about 40 lbs, and is working on gaining some weight. She knows her name and comes when called. She is wiggly and active, and needs some leash training so that she doesn't pull on the leash. But she is a quick study, and is happy to work for treats! This beauty will integrate into just about any home and family!
