He wants nothing more than to sit and curl up in his forever human's lap. Casey is sweet and loving and a couch potato. Everyone asks us whether cats like to sleep with them or sit in their lap or be held, where here is your cat. He gets along fine with other cats but could be just as happy as an only cat as long as he had his human to snuggle with. We know Casey will make a great companion for someone, but unfortunately there isn't room at PetsMart for him to go there an be seen at this time. If you would like to foster or adopt Casey, please call or email us. Update 6/24/14: We have learned more about this terrific cat. He is great with other cat. Not aggressive. Either ignores them or plays with them if they want to play. What Casey loves most is people! He is a total lap cat. He is content just sitting on a lap and being pet. Casey loves to be brushed. He is going to make a terrific companion for someone. He is a cat that would be content in an apartment or small home as long as he had windows and a human to be with. Other pets would not bother him so he would fit into most any home. Casey is also fine with children and loves the attention. His skin is sensitive to flea and when we found him he was missing most of his hair. Now it has all grown back and he looks gorgeous. All it took was monthly flea medication and indoor living. Updated 6/1/14: Casey was originally found as a young stray and adopted out about a year ago and unfortunately was found as a stray again a few months ago. Luckily for him, since we microchip our adopted animals, Casey was returned to us. However, his previous owners cannot be located and never responded to claim him. He was found with missing hair and in pretty bad shape so we don't know how long he had lived on the streets. He has now been treated for fleas and his coat is looking much better. Casey has an adorable overbite (he was born this way) which sometimes makes his tongue stick out in the cutest way. He is extremely sweet and affectionate. He is a total love bucket! Casey gets along great with other cats and has been housed with our other adoptable Tonka. They get along very well but are not bonded, so they can be adopted separately. We have many cats and kittens available for adoption throughout the year. Our kittens are in foster homes during the week where they receive the love and attention they need to grow and thrive. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas with advantage, spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive any other necessary treatment while in our program such as treatment for ear mites, respiratory infections, etc. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care costs.
